Get a piece of beautiful fabric and either frame it or hang it like a tapestry. Chose fabric with your favorite colors and be sure it's large enough to use as a headboard. If the room is large enough, center your bed on the wall and get a couple of very small tables to use as bedside tables. Paint them one of the colors in the fabrice. Get a bright colored throw to put at the end of your bed. Et voila! A beautiful room.

I love old French advertising posters. Have them all over the house and they've been there for years. Wouldn't trade them for anything. The colors are brilliant!

I had 6 brothers and sisters, My grandparents sent us a set of aluminum tumblers with our names engraved on them. Those were the only glasses we were allowed to use and pity the poor kid that used the wrong glass. We rinsed them after each use and left them on the counter. Also had engraved napkin rings for our napkins. Saved our mother a ton of work over the years. This was back in the day before dishwashers and paper napkins. I still think it's an excellent system for a large family. (Are there any of those left?)

I love this house. It's beautiful but manages to look like real people live in it. Growing up, we had a piano in our dining room and seeing yours brought back a lot of memories.

I don't care for the glasslock containers. They are often hard to close properly. Much prefer the Pyrex or Frigoverre which you can pick up at Marshall's. Much easier to close. Both are glass and last forever.

I collect old wooden bowls and absolutely love them. I make salald dressing in them and then add the salad and toss. I use a huge bowl daily to make dinner salad for two. Using a huge bowl makes tossing a snap. I also use it to make potato salad, biscuits, bread dough, etc, etc. I've never had any problem with any of the bowls I have. Needless to say they are handwashed and dried - never put in the dishwasher. If you ever see one for sale, grab it. Take good care of it and you'll pass it down to your grandchildren.

There were 7 of us - 4 girls/3 boys. My sisters and I all took tap dancing lessons. The girls all slept on the second floor in a large room with hardwood floors. Early on, Dad made a sign that read: "No Tapdancing on the Second Floor. Ever!". My sister rescued it from the trash when my parents moved from the house we grew up in and it now hangs in her family room. Wish I had it.

Replace the faucet. This isn't all that complicated assuming you have the tools. YouTube has lots of DIY videos for projects like this. Or if you don't feel comfortable, have a knowledgeable friend do it or hire a handyman. It doesn't require a plumber although they would probably be glad to do it and charge you handsomely!

I iove the bright red table, too. The antlers would disturb my sleep (waiting for one to fall off the wall) and the cheesecloth hanging from the ceiling .... I don't even know what to say about that.
