I planted a cherry tree the first summer I lived in my house. The first couple of years I didn't see too many cherries but this year, 5 years in, I finally had enough to make a double-crusted pie, cherry clafoutis, and a few jars of boozy, rum-soaked cherries. All were delicious and knowing the fruit came off my own tree made the treats that much better. Hope you get your yard/fruit trees soon!
