Beautiful! I love the oak cabinets with the oak ice chest! They look great with the subway tile and counters - what is the blue paint color? It complements the look perfectly. Great job!

The canning jar fixture over the dining table and the vintage and repro schoolhouse lights in the kitchen are all thanks to the awesome folks at Conant Metal & Light. (I have to find a way to need more lighting in our house because their stuff is just too cool.)

Love the Ikea wall storage system -- genius!! Is your sofa in your kitchen? That's creative arrangement! I would suggest moving the sofa to an outer wall but I'm sure you've thought of that yourself. Great idea to keep your things movable--I still do that and I've been in the same place 18 years... Way to make it work!

Thanks for your comments, mayflower45. I've got a mix of fiestaware, so yes, red really does pop against the black quartz/white cabinets. The wall extended from the pantry, dividing the kitchen from the dining room with a door--what a difference taking it out! It really improved the flow. That corner with the fridge had the apt size range next to it, no counter on either side. Once my daughter was old enough to start cooking on her own, we had to step up the renovation for safety. I'm glad we kept it small--small kitchens are truly cool. So many great ideas in this contest - I'm still getting ideas on what to do next! Thanks again.

Hey, it's so cool to see my kitchen here!
Sally, I based my 90 sf on just the kitchen itself - sink to fridge roughly 10' x window to range 9' = 90 sf), but if I add the pantry stairway space (8' x 3' = 24 sf / 2 = 12) and the cabinets along the dining room wall (roughly 8' x 1' = 8 sf), our sf is closer to 110. I think it looks bigger because of the open space in the middle of the kitchen--not wide enough for an island, which I lamented for years, but now I love the space, it lets 2-3 people in the kitchen with their own little workspaces. Thanks for your comment!
