I'm pretty opinionated when it comes to cooking shows. I love Top Chef but hate all the other competition shows (I find them way too dramatic). I dislike almost all the cooking shows on food network except for Barefoot Contessa (which I love). I used to like a many of the ones on Cooking Channel like Rachel Allen Bake, French Food at Home, Nigella, and basically most of the other international ones. However, they don't show those as much anymore, and they've adopted a lot of the food network shows that I really dislike. Also, I do really like Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations.

When I was little, we never ate savory things for breakfast. It was always either porridge, toast with butter and jam (or nutella), muesli with plain yogurt, or croissants and pain au chocolat (on sundays). Because I grew up this way, I considered other things 'odd' breakfast foods. I think for most people, taste for certain foods develop early and you get accustomed to and expect certain flavors. I find cultural differences in what people eat for breakfast fascinating. Nowadays, for breakfast, I usually have tea and a green drink. I after 30 minutes to an hour, I'll usually have some fruit.

is the sushi bar at whole foods on Lamar finally open? I'll have to check it out. I'm glad they don't dye the seaweed. I love seaweed salad but it's what keeps me from ordering it at sushi bars.

I usually go for yogi or organic india, but I do buy celestial seasonings sleepy time tea on occasion.. Also, many tea brands add citric acid to their fruit flavored teas. I found that these teas completely 'turn' my stomach when I drink them.
