My good friend became very ill in the middle of getting her kitchen remodeled. She had only had a microwave, electric skillet and a crockpot (the poor thing!). I brought her some freezer meals that she could make in the crockpot. There are quite a few recipes on the web where you assemble ingredients in freezer bags. The meals are thawed overnight in the fridge before putting them in the crockpot in the morning.

This worked well for her because her church was bringing meals, but this gave her backups in the freezer for times when she didn't have a meal coming.

For anyone considering paper straws for a party: I used paper straws daily when I was in elementary school. You had to drink your chocolate milk fast before the straw got so wet it was useless. If you left it too long it would break off and then you'd have soggy paper in the bottom of your carton. Not pleasant.

Yes, I'm doing another Whole30 to give myself a reset after too much sugar and imbibing over the holidays. The first few days I had a lot of sugar cravings which just confirmed that I needed to do this - now I'm sailing along just fine.

Does anyone else think it's a poor choice to put that expression on the M&M's face? I think he looks grossed out by the idea of pumpkin spice chocolate.

I"ll have to try her hint of using tape. I wanted to do this for gift bags for our robotics' team. The last day they work on their robot is called "Bag Day" so I thought it would be perfect to give out bags of goodies with "Happy bag day" on them.

I could not get it to work for the life of me, the bags simply would not feed in the printer. Maybe taping it down would work better.

Slow cookers are designed to keep the moisture in so that food doesn't dry out and over cook. I think trying to dehydrate something with a slow cooker would be like trying to dry your hair with a garden hose.

Your oven is the best.

Can you use this directly as a cutting board? If so, then sign me up! I've thought many times how nice it would be to have a lip on my cutting board to catch dripping from meat or watermelon, etc. If I could cut food directly on this with a pan beneath it to catch the drippings, it would be very very handy!

I do this! I get pastured butter since the fat is higher in omega 3s. I use unsalted butter, although I liked the salted too.

I put the coffee and butter in a mason jar and shake it up really well. The butter blends in and it gets foamy on top. It's really good and I stay full for a long time.
