I feel You.
My boyfriend and I were the same way, except He is the Pack rat and i am not.
Finally, this move, we were able to go through his stuff and throw out all of the things he had kept for so long.
Partially because he finally didn't want to move it and i think partially because our space was different as well.
instead of a bungalow with a Loooooooong basement that could just be filled up, we had a 3 story of the same size but stacked on each other - Less storage space.
Now he longs to be a light mover and while i know it will be a long process before we actually get to that point, i know that future moving will only get better.

I have a shelf overtop my stove in my rental meant for a microwave.
Therefore I have a large piece of Wood in my way.

We have only moved in since the beginning of this month but I am very afraid of ruining the underside from my cooking.

Are there any suggestions of what I can do to protect it? I’ve been used to having a range hood in all my other rentals.

The grease just means more Cleaning (and harder)
and our small kitchen has the patio doors and a side window for the cross breeze.
It’s going to be cold in the winter but I don’t like smell eliminating sprays.

For the more sunny bathrooms you can always grow a little bit of Parsley or Mint to add to your morning/evening routine as those both freshen breath and clean teeth, as well as in the kitchen and your tea.

I’ve always wanted to try one of these.
Being a renter it seemed like a smarter/easier choice especially when we want to travel as light as possible.

My mother was very obsessed with always used a square of Wax paper and it gets thrown away when its too dirty.

now that I'm living on my own with roommates its hard to control what others do and my microwave always gets really dirty.
These might help.
The description says: lightweight FDA approved plastic that is washable, reusable, and will never sag or melt.
i can only assume since the world knows about bad plastic that this would be okay to heat up.

I do this all the time.
its the only way to clean the microwave without making your arm sore in the process.

The good thing, is that you can set this to go while you clean up other things and come back to it. Much more time efficient.

Lemon Curd is amazing.
i always suggest it to my friends who love lemon meringue pie and they love Lemon Curd more now.

You can also Freeze the Lemon Juice in Little Ice Blocks for later use.

Also, add it to your washing water.

i strongly endorse the Caramelized butternut Squash recipie above. It is delicious.
Also, try a butternut squash soup with an onion and fresh carrots in it (i make sure to buy those little bunches with the tops on them, it makes a difference). It makes the flavour rounder than just the squash and broth.
