My vote is a pressure cooker for easy of use, time and money saver. We have an electric pressure cooker with multi functions: steam, slow cook and brown. We use the pressure cooker feature at minimum twice a week. Most recipes I make are 5-10 minutes cook time. Dry beans are all we purchase now.
The challenge is finding recipes often searching for pressure cooker recipes, I'm given slow cooker recipes.

This is a great recipe! I've made the burgers several times. Different variations - toasted the walnuts, used rice flour and red curry.

I made a vegan bread pudding last week using Almond Milk and almond extract instead of vanilla. You can probably do the same with this recipe by omitting the eggs. Tastes better the next day.

A flexible rubber jar opener works great as a garlic peeler and for removing silk from corn. I think I learned this tidbit from the folks at Cook’s Illustrated. Who also suggests using an decorating icing tip to hull strawberries. Which works very well as long as the berries are not super ripe.

We were given a zyliss avocado tool (halves, pits, scoops, slices and mashes). I wouldn’t go out and buy one but we use this a few times a week.

@Lorra1ne – you can also use your egg slicer for mushrooms and strawberries.
The same friend who gave us the avocado tool gave us a 5 in 1 egg slicer. Again something I wouldn't purchase but have made it a multi-use gadget.

Now an olive oil taster, that is a pointless product.

Good to know, I used to buy some Kinder Eggs every time I went up to Canada. I've seen them for sale locally in Asian grocery stores.

I took a restaurant seafood cooking class in Seattle. The chef said she gets her seafood from Uwajimaya or Mutual Fish. Uwajimaya is pricey but their fish is as good quality as Mutual Fish. Maruta is a Japanese grocery store in Georgetown, south of downtown. Their prices are much cheaper than Uwajimaya. Maruta also has sushi, bento, and Chinese takeout. I love their negitoro rolls. Very fresh and great quality fish. Plus they aren't crazy crowded like Uwajimaya gets on the weekends.
