made this the same day the recipe was posted, although it took a bit of time to make the strawberry syrup (blending, straining, heating, cooling), it was really refreshing! I had it all week with my dinner, yum!

I guess this post makes me realize how many of you actually "work" in your office, mine is just a place for the occasional thing to be printed out, looked up, music downloaded. really useless I guess, maybe I don't need that desk afterall..

perfect timing, love this post! I feel guilty with the possibility of sharing a baby's room with the office, but in a 2BR, we just don't have the option of dedicating stand alone rooms to either. : )

this is great!

although, I think I have a bit of everything in me. I eat eggs so much that I tend to cook them every way possible just for variation. I love everything about eggs in every way they're cooked! (except for raw, bleh!)

Made this as a side for my dinners and lunches this week and it is AMAZING! The orange juice vinagrette with everything else in combination works so well! I had a mixed berry medly but only about half of what the recipe called for so I just used raisins for the rest, and YUM!!!! I didn't add the cheese, and I don't think I really miss it. Brought some in small containers to people at work who I know would love it and sure enough they did!

How exciting!!! My most favorite and easiest recipe from The Kitchn is the Chicken and Tomato no boil pasta bake! I make mine with turkey sausage though! Matter of fact, I have leftovers for lunch today!

you don't have to fry eggplant when making eggplant parm! I bake mine and won't ever go back to frying! Just coat in whatever coating you like then spray a cooking sheet, lay them flat and spray the tops with cooking spray, you'll want to flip them halfway (maybe 20 min baking time), that's it. It might take a little longer but waaayyy less greasy!

I was concerned that Nut Butters and Nutella should only be left out for a week (I store them in my pantry all of the time) so I did a little research and pulled this from Nutella's website:

How should Nutella® be stored?
Jars of Nutella® should be stored at room temperature. Keep the jar tightly closed and store in a cool, dry place to maintain maximum flavor. Do not refrigerate Nutella®, otherwise it will harden and become difficult to spread. Excessive heat will accelerate the loss of fresh flavor and may cause the oils found in Nutella® to separate.

this was a good base for a cheese sauce as it had great consistency. I think it needed more spice and more cheese flavor so I added some taco seasoning and more cheddar than jack.

One of my most favorite cookies that Grandma takes special request for is also Pfeffernüsse, putting a sliced apple wedge in the container where they are stored seems to soften them up a bit, can't wait for them this year! TJ's also had a box of them I bought a few years back, very good!

@ katepk "The wastefulness of these things drives me nuts! Even if you can recycle the little cups, you still have to consider the resources (water, energy, etc.) that go into recycling them."

What do you mean the resources necessary to recycyle them? They're plastic and I would assume that all plastic requires the same resources to recycle, right? I toss mine into the recycle and wish that more people would think to do the same!
